Again, we are in the midst of heat advisory temperatures with humidity. I met a friend for lunch today and we chose to eat in the air conditioned dining room instead of outdoors. The sun was relentless. The food was wonderful. I had a dessert that was available for the first time -- truly scrumptious. I walked a ways to pick up some bread and headed home. In early evening, I walked out to to mail a letter. The humidity was difficult even into the later evening. The forecast looks like things will remain much the same for the next week or so. <sigh>
There has been far less rain over the past few weeks. Grass is turning brown and crunchy and leaves are drying up and falling from trees. A province-wide fire ban has been in place. The forecasters suggest that we could get some measurable rain this weekend. It won't cool things but it might help the plants to recuperate a bit.
I know I complain a lot about weather <smile>. I would enjoy warm days with cooler overnights. I'm not sure where in the world this might be located, but that would be my dream summer. A song came to mind that used a phrase that suited the day perfectly. The lyrics deal with something a bit different than what we are experiencing in this part of the world today, but the title sure fits well. Keep safe. Enjoy!
