Today was filled with small errands done around town. I drove to several businesses to complete some tasks. The highlight was the Wednesday evening market. I went for the amazing orange cherry tomatoes that are so sweet but with a strong tomato tang. I got a pint. Then I saw some amazing rainbow chard and a 5 lb box of wild blueberries. I cooked the chard for supper and it was delish. The blueberries can be frozen as they are in the box and will last into the winter if I don't go overboard on cooking all things blueberry. <smile>. Before I freeze them, I will eat some fresh with yogurt, cereal or milk. Yum.
I went for a walk to two stores closer to home and managed to get done between rain showers. Intermittent thunder and rain have filled the evening. I unplugged some electronics 'just in case'. The rumbling sound put the furry one into alert mode. Poor thing. I don't like it either, but at least I understand that we aren't really under attack. The rain accompanying the distant thunder was intense. There was a rainfall warning for major accumulations over a short period of time. Plants and forests should do well with the rain.
A song from a favourite album from my youth came to mind this evening. The deluge of rain took my mind to the song shared here tonight. Keep safe. Enjoy!
