It's been a day. I spent a lot of time on the phone making calls to set up appointments. The first two were to see my MD and to have teeth cleaned next month. Another will take me down the highway next week for clothing fitting. I ordered products from further down the highway than I will be next week. Half of the order was in stock and shipped by bus. I got a call from the bus depot at 7 PM telling me the parcel could be picked up. I got it by 7:30 PM. Not bad for an order that was finalized about 3:30 PM! I had expected it to arrive tomorrow. The rest of the order will take about three weeks or so to arrive. It was the part of the order I needed soonest, but I'll have to make do with an alternate for now.
I went for a walk mid-afternoon to work through some conflicting advice I'd received from two people. It will take some time, but I have the beginnings of a plan to move forward. I had a great chat with a friend at our usual weekly get together. This helped make me laugh and refocus on other less stressful parts of the day.
A song from a Newfoundland artist came to mind today -- one that has a 'pick me up' feel. I guess that is hope I hear in the lyrics. Some days, one just needs to hear that kind of message. Keep safe. Enjoy!
