Today involved multiple shopping stops. I needed smaller bits of groceries but met with several empty shelves for key items. That was a theme for the technology shopping as well -- no phone case or the size of SD card on my shopping list. I'll try to find those two items online. The two places where everything on my list was in stock were the store for bread and cookies <smile> and the store with the wine. I'm not sure what message that sends, but at least some things were in stock.
The grocery stores were crazy today with almost full parking lots. I don't usually go food shopping on a Friday unless I go mid-morning. Today was mid-afternoon and so many parents and kids of all ages filled the place. The larger number of shoppers made the noise level almost unbearable at times. Next week, students will return in throngs and we often have empty shelves everywhere around Labour Day. So, things likely will only get worse. By mid-September we should be back to normal.
Thinking through my crowd experiences today brought an older song to mind. While I felt outside of the main crowd, I expect that it looked like I was just one of the larger group to any outsider <smile>. So while I felt apart from the crowd, I was likely a part of the crowd. (word usage that this grammarian has always had issues with when grading papers and such <grin>). Keep safe. Enjoy!
